The Ayrshire Clarinet Choir was formed in February 1987,with only three members at the first meeting. Peter Lammyman, who was the instigator of it all, Richard Elliott and Jennifer Cleland who is still not only a member, but very importantly, the Treasurer.

Barbara Lee, the fourth member was unfortunately not able to attend the first meeting due to family illness but is still a member and leader.

The post of Musical Director is shared by Mrs. Barbara Lee and Mr. Jim Baines, thus enabling each of them to also participate in playing on occasions.

The Choir rehearse on Monday evenings from 7pm - 9pm alternately at Cumnock Church Hall, and Alloway Church Hall.
